Social Economy OCN Level 2

A social economy project is a non-profit taking business; that is any profit made could be used to help sustain your community group.

Accredited through the Open College Network and encourages participants to develop their social economy project by providing training and advice on the  following aspects:

  • Examining what social economy is and good practice examples
  • Helping to develop your social economy business ideas
  • Business planning, the key components and writing a business plan
  • Examining the key factors in budgeting, marketing and managing staff

This course will be facilitated by Supporting Communities Northern Ireland.

During this course participants will have the opportunity to develop a portfolio of assessments through group and individual tasks including their own business plan.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come basis. Maximum of one representative from each group.  A reserve list will be compiled.
