Volunteer Now is currently inviting applications for the Small Grants Programme which is funded by the Department for Social Development.
Grants of up to £1,500 are available to small, local volunteer-involving organisations based in the 15 Council areas of Antrim, Ards, Armagh, Ballymena, Belfast, Carrickfergus, Castlereagh, Down, Dungannon & South Tyrone, Fermanagh, Larne, Lisburn, Newry & Mourne, Newtownabbey and North Down.
The Programme is targeted specifically at projects with an annual income of less than £100,000 that promote volunteering amongst people not in paid work and other groups who are currently under-represented in the volunteering population.
Wendy Osborne OBE, CEO Volunteer Now said, “This is an excellent funding opportunity for small volunteer involving organisations which fulfill the criteria of the grant. It will enable them to support existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers to help to meet local need.”
