The Mental Health Task and Finish Group of the Southern Area Integrated Partnership Board (AIPB) would like to invite community and voluntary sector organisations to engage with them as part of their work on mental health early intervention, prevention and wellbeing across the Southern area.

This group was established to support a population health approach to mental health, with a focus on understanding where need is greatest, where there may be gaps in support and how statutory and community partners can work together more effectively. We recognise the valuable insight, reach and trusted relationships that community and voluntary organisations bring and they are keen to begin a wider conversation with partners about the issues you are seeing locally, the communities they are supporting and the opportunities for collaboration.

To support this engagement, they have developed an online resource which provides a high-level overview of the group, who they are, the context for their work and how they hope to work in partnership with community and voluntary sector organisations: Mental Health Task and Finish Group of the Southern AIPB

They have also developed a short survey to help them gather insight and scope engagement from organisations across the Southern area. This will help them better understand your organisation’s area of work, the communities you support, the mental health and wellbeing issues you are seeing locally and invites you to record your preferred method of engagement Southern Area AIPB C&V Sector Engagement – Fill in form

As part of this engagement, they are offering a number of short (30-40 minute) virtual introductory sessions for organisations that would like to hear more about the group’s work, the opportunities for collaboration and the population health intelligence that informs their thinking.

We look forward to engaging with our local community and hope this will be the start of a practical conversation about how we can work together.

It looks like the 3 sessions will be:
• Tuesday 26 May at 6.30pm
• Thursday 28 May at 10.00am
• Friday 29 May at 10.00am
